Critical Habitats and Biodiversity: Inventory, Thresholds, and Governance

This report offers a wide view of the current state of the life within the oceans worldwide. Global marine biodiversity and 12 habitats were analyzed spatially for their overlap with current pressures and protected areas. Policy suggestions derived from these results were presented to leaders around the world to advocate for the sustainable use of the ocean.
